Here comes summer, accompanied with the encroaching heat
And the lip smacking mangoes, a feeling nothing can beat
The mango season- the spell of the king of fruits
Brings a smile on a million faces as soon as it shoots
Umpteen hidden facts; so many analogies it holds
Indeed the Indian life variety it unfolds
The two colours of mango- green and yellow
Signify the shades of happiness and sorrow
Numerous varieties of mangoes found together
And together live Indians belonging to different cultures
A mango can taste bitter, sweet and sour
And same flavours in relations, close and far
Mango, though commonly referred to as “aam”
Still, the most special fruit for a common man
And so, the cheers spread all over have a valid reason
For it’s time to enjoy the much awaited mango season! :D
