Deceptive Deceptions

Suddenly awakened in the middle of the night

By a shocking nightmare or a dream, a matter of delight

The unconscious laughs or cries or talks and more

Accompanied with sweat and goose bumps galore

The dream of being one among the dwarfs in snow white’s land

And the nightmare that leaves you buried under the desert sand

The fantasy of being transformed into the “dark lord”

And the chopping of the nose with a magical sword

The one in which the world seems upside down

Or a man eaten by a zombie, bleeding brown

A tense situation in real, that becomes a mishappening

Or a dead loved one in a pleasant dream, seen talking

The ones you would love to see coming true

And the ones you never ever want to go through

Are these analogous to an event in future or past?

Or mere deceptions, for it’s been ages since you properly slept last!
